"Gotcha Journalism" - The response by the McCain-Palin ticket to a statement in which Palin contradicted McCain's position on cross border attacks from Afghanistan into Pakistan.
Just another example why Republicans are still the Kings of Spin.
See CBS interview and transcript here; also here.

I love how Olbermann put it: The McCain/Palin ticket's defense was basically that what Sarah said didn't count because she was only talking to a voter and not the press.
Lovely.
You know - another thing - the whole McCain apology/explaination thing was kinda creepy. Sarah sitting next to him adoringly (were they holding hands?), her smiling, nodding "yes, yes," as he made his excuse for her statement.
Waaay to paternalistic.
Yep, gotta agree with you, jhwygirl.
I thought the two of them together showed that Palin can't be trusted to be interviewed one-on-one anymore, too many "Gotcha" moments.
It is interesting how Republicans can spin facts and truth into oblivion. If we could just harness the power of the Republican spin, we could solve America's domestic energy problems today! Keep spinning Boys!
