USA Today--Home buying practices adjust to high gas prices
The AP reports that homes around mass transit stops are selling better than those located in the distant suburbs. This is good to hear because it makes sense environmentally and in the pocket book. Increased ridership should spur expansion of mass transit infrastructure in many cities. It is too bad that it takes four dollar a gallon gasoline to change people's ways, however. Whatever works... It was only a couple weeks ago that this was written about in "Common Sense Things We Can Do To Decrease America's Reliance on Oil (and Save a Few Bucks)"
