Every once in awhile I run across a blog or website that I consider "blog worthy" and worth a link on the WFB sidebar. It seems that in the past month I have found a few that meet the nondescript qualifications. So if you have some time to waste, spend a few minutes checking out the following additions.
Democracy Now!
A Montucky Point of View is an issue driven site from the blogger that supplies scenic snapshots of the Montana Outdoors. Postings tend to be short and sweet with a little background information to facilitate commentary. A no frills blog worth checking out.
Electric City Weblog provides a unique point of view on all things political, Montana, and like the name suggests, energy production. What is the Electric City? Well, it's Great Falls, MT, of course.
Margaret and Helen are two sharp witted ladies aging gracefully. They dish on politics and current events with touch of humor. Warning to the conservative minded: Helen has a bone to pick with Ms. Palin. Truly, a woman after my own heart.
I maintained from the beginning that this site would include fly-fishing, and that may be the best way to describe how much fishing content will actually be posted (i.e. not much). Any aspirations to include more was hijacked on the run up to the election. There is simply to much national and local news fodder keeping me supplied with ideas to write about. Thank goodness for those with a better sense of focus.
Wapiti Waters is the social component to a site operated for a local Ravalli County outfitter. It is filled with pictures, videos, and updates about what is going on in the local outdoor scene. Make sure you check out the pictorial essay of Swisher the Goose.
Bitter Root Chapter of TU is the website for the local chapter of Trout Unlimited. The site keeps local fishing gurus up to date on meetings, events, and anything fly-fishing in the valley.
Democracy Now!
Recently, I ran a series of posts covering a few nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) trying to make a difference in the name of free press, education, human rights, and environmentally responsible corporate policies. These organizations are worth a permanent link.

I was reading your blog thinking that as much as our thoughts and concerns are political, that isn't what our blog is about. That is why I love your blog. Thanks for reminding me that it is OK to focus. Ours is certainly on fishing and anything in Montana that helps remind people how fortunate we are and that our environment needs our carefull thoughts and actions to protect it.
Together, we can say and do all!

My friend, we are that small group.
