Gov. Schweitzer addressed the delegates last night at the Democratic National Convention. He was the final speaker before Hillary Clinton took the podium. His speech (
link) was on energy policy, drawing distinctions between McCain and Obama. He cited Obama's support for alternative energy, something Schweitzer and the state of Montana are taking the lead in. He was loud and a little crass, the perfect contrast to the old Democratic ideal. And his speech, inciting response from the floor and raising them out of their seats, was characterized as an old time revival. Whether you agree with Schweitzer's policies or not, the state of Montana was well represented last night.
